Grants and fellowships

UPDATE: Details on the status and amount of support grants have been sent out by e-mail end of June/start of July. If you have applied for a grant and did not receive an e-mail please contact the meeting office.

Important news for young investigators: we received funding from the International Society for Neurochemistry (ISN) for Dopamine 2016 - fueling our purse to subsidize primarily young investigators (20.000 US$). As noted in an earlier email, we also received a grant from the Austrian Academy of Sciences (5.000 € = 10 x registration fee). Hence, applying for travel grants is definitely worth a try!

Grants for speakers

There will be sponsorship to partly subsidize travelling for all those selected for an oral presentation! During the abstract submisison process the preference for an oral presentation for the 4th open presentation slot in each symposium can be made until the announced deadline.

Any appointed grants or travel support for speakers will be reimbursed after the meeting.

Grants for young scientists

There will be special grants to support the attendance of presenting young scientists (PhD students; post-docs up to five years after graduation)!

NEWS: The Austrian Academy of Sciences sponsors Dopamine 2016 by awarding ten travel grants for young scientists of 500 Euros each.
The ten Austrian Academy of Sciences travel grant awardees are:

Daniela Neuhofer Kimberly Kempadoo
Jocelyn Richard Katherine Brimblecombe
